Khel Tamashaa!

I feel a strong urge to blurt out a few words on the Tamashaa that is in progess on indian TV channels these days and the role of almost real-time relationships in bringing about this ultimate entertainment.Innovation and creativity is the name of the game as i see it.

Lets start with the concept of flashing an innocuous question at the bottom of the screen as a supplement to the main program that is being aired. The question read like this yesterday " Wat d u think of the Deepika- Farhan Jodi in kartik calling kartik". This question seemed rather interesting and could have featured in one of the routine republic day debates as it might have fetched higher TRP's than the drab discussions on the legislature and executive in our country.But more interesting were the responses. In fact i should use the word 'astonishing' for the kind of sms'es, that started pouring in, supposedly as answers to the question mentioned above.

Sms 1- hey preeti...wassup babe...howz xyz...is she also arnd...missyaa guysss...

Sms 2- zahana babes...this is prateek...muaaaaahhh!

Sms 3- The jodi of deepika - farhaan is a bit odd but i think that is why it is special..

Sms 4- Anjali...i misss u choooo mucchhh...u r choooo chweeettt....

Whaaatttttttt has happened to the youth of this country i ask?. Or is it me? Did i read the question wrongly or did i not properly appreciate its subtle nature. Was it in a code language which read like a question on Deepika and Farhan but meant " Express ur puppy luv on TV...do it as if u gonna die in d next 13.5 seconds". But i think there was an ass in the respondents too. Please refer to sms 3. He/she was a fool like me. He/she took the question literally and answered it as it is. It a different matter though that even that answer was a coded peice of shit.Read it carefully once again. It says " I am a nincompoop...i dish out silly words like odd/even/special in answering questions of national importance".All in all it was such a shocker for me that i am still recovering from the virtual amnesia (if at all it means anything) that had struck me then.

Next is the rivetting "Dare to Date" drama on channel V. As per my understanding of the concept of this pgm, after having consumed all the episodes of its first season,you bring two people, with seemingly opposite likes/tastes/expectations, together for a date and you shall get the highest levels of enjoyment from the comedy that ensues. Now not only the couple spends a date together, the participants also shower expletives at the counterpart as an afterthought in background. Whoever said that "dating is just for fun" was true to the "e" i must say. People say all of it is staged. Even if it is, how does the channel choose just the right kind of dumbos to perform brilliantly on the show. And if all the shown participants are actors then i believe channel V should start grooming talent for Hollywood/Bollywood/Tollywood and if possible Lollywood. To add to the beauty of the show is the VJ - Andy, who at almost all times confuses the audience by acting like a female from inside an apparent male body. The confusion remains as to whether Andy represents the male or the female sect or infact both at the same time. If its the third type then i must congratulate channel V for hiring such an amazing talent.This also brings me to a humble request that i deem myself fit to make to the channel walaas. Please let me be a participant on the show in the next season. I am an excellent opposite when it comes to whatever girls expect of males in terms of thinking/tastes/refinement/courtesey etc etc etc. I can be used in all the episodes with changing only the female participants. I think i have made an offer which could hardly be refused.

Third in my favorite list is "Emotional Atyachaar" on bindaas.This amazing concept involves prying on the life of a couple and then systematically introducing an "Under-cover Agent" (which sounds more like a "Property Agent" ) in the life of the dodgier half of the relationship. The dodgy he/she slips and is pulled into the gutter of adjectives like 'Madh****od"/"Behe***od/fu*****as***le/bastard/son of aye beeecch/Whore', by the worse half. The music of abuses is followed by the practical stuff " oh i luved u so much...i cared for u...now i dump u" or " i was just going to tell u that i had another boyfriend"..another??..or one more??. I am at a complete loss in getting to the real meaning of the word love/care employed by the couples in the situations described above. May be i have not evolved with time or may be i am not wise enough.Moreover,I always thought that abuses were the forte of the Mini-Bus Drivers/Conductors of Bhopal. But these nayi ganeration ka chokraa chokrees i tell you, have the wherewithall to give them a serious run for their money. During this dramatic show of whoz cheating on whom, a very interesting creature is the " Under-wear"...oops! sry..."Under-Cover Agent". These agents be-friend the weaker half of an already existing relationship in absolutely no time so as to have the cheating required for drama, which to my mind is 'Charm' at its best. I pity listless males like me, who even after having applied "Charm"is to thier faces since time immemorial, could only manage to become "Snake-charmers" if anything. I personally have not been able to win over even an absolutely single lady, with all the charm that i could borrow, let alone the one whoz already "living happily ever after" in a relationship.

Charmers like Leaders are born and not made as they say.

Resignation अर्थात पेपर डालना

'पेपर डालने ' से हमारा पहला सामना तब हुआ था जब किसीने हमसे यह कहा था की फलाने फलाने ने पेपर डाल दिए। तब हमारा जवाब यह था की पेपर डालने में क्या बड़ी बात है। हमारे मोहल्ले का पेपर वाला तो कई सालों से रोज़ पेपर डाल रहा है है और वोह भी बिना नागा किये। तब हमें यह बताया गया था की ' पेपर डालना' एक पड़ाव है जो हर नौकरी बदलने वाला पार करता है। साथ ही यह भी हमें ज्ञात हुआ की 'पेपर डालना' सफलता का एक ऐसा आयाम है जो एक पूरी तरह भुला दिए गए व्यक्तित्व को रातो रात limelight में ला सकता है।

पिछले ३ महीनो में हमारे डिपार्टमेंट में १५-१६ कार्यकर्ताओं ने पेपर डाल दिए। इसी बहाने हमें इन दूसरे प्रकार के 'पेपर डालने' वालों को पास से देखने का सौभाग्य मिला। पेपर डालते ही पपेर डालने वाले के चहरे पर एक चमक आ जाती है जो चीख चीख कर यह कहती है " मैं विजयी हुआ। अब मेरा कोई कुछ नहीं बिगाड़ सकता, यहाँ तक की मैं स्वयं भी नहीं "।इस व्यक्ति के आस पास रहने वाले भी अचानक बदल जाते हैं। जिस 'ऑफिस लेट आने' को सभी एक ताकत समझते थे, अब उसे पेपर डाल देने का फल बताने लगते हैं। वे सभी जो पेपर नहीं डाल पाए, भाग्यवादी हो जाते हैं। क्योंकी सभी को लगने लगता है अगर इस पेपर डालने वाले मक्कार गधे के ऐसे दिन फिर सकते हैं तो भाग्य ही जोर मार रहा है। वे सभी जिन्होने इस पेपर डालने वाले की और एक घडी भी मुड़कर नहीं देखा था वे भी " और लास्ट डे कब है" पूछने वालों की कतार में लग जाते हैं, यह सोचकर की शायद यह अंत समय की होशियारी उन्हें पेपर डालने वाले की Good Books में डाल दे। पेपर डालने वाले को मोक्ष पा गया समझ लिया जाता है और बिचारा जहाँ कहीं भी अपने विचार व्यक्त करने का मन बनता है वहीँ उसकी बात काटकर कह दिया जाता है की " अब तुम्हें क्या करना है यार , तुमने तो पेपर डाल दिए हैं "। और एक और बात जनाब, किसी और का पेपर डाल देना कई बार लोगों के आत्म विश्वास को इतना आघात पहुचाता है की वे जो आमतौर पर पेपर डालने वाले का चेहरा भी नहीं देखना चाहते थे, अब घुमा फिर कर उसका CV मांगने लगते हैं। "यार मुझे लगता है तुने फलानी चीज़ के बारे में ज्यादा लिखा होगा , और धिकानी चीज़ के बारे में कम। उम्म्म...ठीक है ....CV दे दियो भाई...देख लूँगा। " ऐसे भी कई महाशय होते हैं जो दूसरे डिपार्टमेंट के होते हैं परन्तु सभी पेपर डालने वालों से madhur सम्बन्ध बनाना चाहते हैं। वे जहाँ भी टकराते हैं, पेपर डालने वालों से यही कहते पाए जाते हैं " अरे भाई पेपर डाल दिए और batayaa भी नहीं , यार लास्ट दिन मिल लेना , आपको CV दे दूंगा अपना....हाहाहा...मज़ाक कर रहा हूँ यार..don't worry"।

चलिए जो भी है, हमें तो इतना ही समझ आता है की पेपर डालना एक ऐसी विधा है जो एक गुमनाम व्यक्ति को रातो रात लोकप्रियता के चरम तक पहुंचा सकती है, पहचान दिला सकती है, और हाँ, ज्यादा पैसा और ऊंचा ओहदा भी साथ ला सकती है। तो आईये हम सभी, लगातार , बिना रुके पेपर डालें और सतत पेपर डालते हुए अमरत्व को प्राप्त हो जायें ।

वे जो सदा पीछे ही रहे!

कुछ दिन पहले मैंने अपने बेकार समय को और बेकार बनाते हुएअपने बीते जीवन की विवेचना की। आमतौर पर मैं दूसरों के जीवन और व्यवहार की ही विवेचना और आलोचना करता हूँ। परन्तु कभी कभी दूसरों के बारे में जब यह ज्ञात होता है की वे हमसे जीवन में काफी आगे निकल गए हैं तब मैं स्वयं के जीवन का विश्लेषण करने को बाध्य हो जाता हूँ। इस बार एक मित्र के विषय में जब हमें ज्ञात हुआ की वे १ लाख रूपया महीना कमा रहे हैं तो मैं विचलित हो उठा और आनन् फानन अपने भूतकाल में अपने 'पीछे रह जाने ' के कारक ढूँढने लगा।

जहाँ तक मुझे याद है आठवी कक्षा तक मैं किसी से कभी पीछे नहीं रहा। मैं सदा अपने में मस्त रहता था। स्वयं ही पढाई और खेल के बीच समय का बंटवारा करता थाऔर परीक्षा में भी जो अंक आते थे उन्हें अपने ही मन की गहराईयों में रखकर मगन रहता था। यह पीछे रहने का क्रम प्रारम्भ हुआ नवी से जब हम क्लास में सेकंड थे अर्थात फर्स्ट जो कन्या आई थी उसके पीछे। फिर दसवी आई जहाँ हम अपनी क्लास में तो फर्स्ट हो गये पर अब हम दूसरे सेक्शन के योद्धाओं से पीछे रह गए। ग्यारहवी और बारहवी में हमने अपना लोहा आम जनता को मनवा ही दिया था की एक अलग चुनौती आ गयी। एक अन्य वर्ग बालकों का IIT JEE और PET की तईयारी में हमें पीछे छोड़ चूका था। जो किताब हम लाते थे वे बालक या तो उसे पढ़ चुके होते थे या कूड़े में फेकने की सलाह दे डालते थे। तो यह सिलसिला चलता ही रहा जहाँ कोई न कोई किसी न किसी दिशा में और विषय में हमें पीछे छोड़ता गया। इंजीनियरिंग कालेज में हम दारु पीने, अय्याशी करने, लड़ाई करने, लटके हुए पेपर बार बार देने, लड़की पटाने , और बाद में प्लेसमेंट्स में सबसे पहले नौकरी पाने की रेस में, सभी में पीछे रहे। हमारी पहली नौकरी में हम onsite जाने वालों से पीछे रहे क्योंकि दिन रात प्रार्थना करने के बाद भी नहीं जा पा रहे थे। फिर हमने विचार किया की क्यों न पढाई करके हम आगे निकलने का प्रयास करें। MBA करने का मन बनाया तो IIM जाने वालों से पीछे रह गए। B-School में extra curriculars में शान से पीछे रहते हुए एक तगड़ा salary package पाने की होड़ में भी अधिकाँश batch से पीछे रह गए। अब आज की बात करें तो साहब आज भी शादी करने, १ लाख रुपया महीना कमाने, १ घर खरीद लेने, और कार होने के क्षेत्र में हम बहुत से मित्रों से काफी पीछे रह गए दीख पड़ते हैं।

एक और बात जो मुझे विचलित कर देती है की हमें कभी ऐसे किसी काम से नहीं जोड़ा गया जहाँ हमने, जितना हमसे अपेक्षित था, उससे अधिक कर दिखाया हो। जहाँ जब जब जिसने भी जो भी हमसे अपेक्षा की, हमने हर बार उससे कम ही कुछ करके दिखाया। हमारे बारे में कभी यह नहीं कहा सुना गया की " अरे पता है ...वोह दुबे ने तो...IIT JEE crack कर दी" ,या फिर की "CAT crack कर दी", "अरे उसके तो BLACKI से काल्स हैं", "उसने GRE/GMAT में कमाल कर दिया", या फिर की " अबे यार उसने 20 लाख की जॉब पा ली जबकि बाकी सभी सिर्फ 8 लाख की जॉब निकाल पाए। बल्कि हमारे बारे में सदा यही कहा गया की "हाँ exam तो दिया था पर बिगड़ गया, जॉब तो लगी पर बहुत तगड़ी नहीं लग पाई, CAT दिया था पर IIM नहीं जा पाए, स्मार्ट है पर onsite नहीं जा पाया, काम अच्छा तो करता है पर promote नहीं हुआ " आदि इत्यादि। तो मुझे ऐसा प्रतीत होता है की लोगों को निराश करने में शायद हम सबसे आगे रहे हैं। पर नियति को यह भी शायद स्वीकार्य नहीं क्योंकि मैं ऐसे कुछ व्यक्तियों से भी मिल चूका हूँ जिन्होने इस "लोगों को लगातार निराश करने" के खेल में भी हमें पीछे छोड़ा है ।

मुझे विश्वास है की आगामी वर्षों में लोग हमें हमारे पीछे रहने के लिए याद करेंगे और कहेंगे " वे जो सदा कईओं से कई विषयों में एवं क्षेत्रों में सफलता पूर्वक पीछे रहे, उन्हें हमारा शत शत नमन है, क्योंकि ये नहीं होते तो कितने ही मनुष्य जीवन में आगे होने का सुख नहीं भोग पाते"।

भारत को चाहिए जादूगर और साधु - हरिशंकर परसाई

हर 15 अगस्त और 26 जनवरी को मैं सोचता हूं कि साल-भर में कितने बढ़े। न सोचूं तो भी काम चलेगा- बल्कि ज्यादा आराम से चलेगा। सोचना एक रोग है, जो इस रोग से मुक्त हैं और स्वस्थ हैं, वे धन्य हैं।

यह 26 जनवरी 1972 फिर आ गया। यह गणतंत्र दिवस है, मगर ‘गण’ टूट रहे हैं। हर गणतंत्र दिवस ‘गण’ के टूटने या नये ‘गण’ बनने के आंदोलन के साथ आता है। इस बार आंध्र और तेलंगाना हैं। अगले साल इसी पावन दिवस पर कोई और ‘गण’ संकट आयेगा।

इस पूरे साल में मैंने दो चीजें देखीं। दो तरह के लोग बढ़े- जादूगर और साधु बढ़े। मेरा अंदाज था, सामान्य आदमी के जीवन के सुभीते बढ़ेंगे- मगर नहीं। बढ़े तो जादूगर और साधु-योगी। कभी-कभी सोचता हूं कि क्या ये जादूगर और साधु ‘गरीबी हटाओ’ प्रोग्राम के अंतर्गत ही आ रहे हैं! क्या इसमें कोई योजना है?

रोज अखबार उठाकर देखता हूं। दो खबरें सामने आती हैं- कोई नया जादूगर और कोई नया साधु पैदा हो गया है। उसका विज्ञापन छपता है। जादूगर आंखों पर पट्टी बांधकर स्कूटर चलाता है और ‘गरीबी हटाओ’ वाली जनता कामधाम छोड़कर, तीन-चार घंटे आंखों पर पट्टी बांधे जादू्गर को देखती हजारों की संख्या में सड़क के दोनों तरफ खड़ी रहती है। ये छोटे जादूगर हैं। इस देश में बड़े बड़े जादूगर हैं, जो छब्बीस सालों से आंखों पर पट्टी बांधे हैं। जब वे देखते हैं कि जनता अकुला रही है और कुछ करने पर उतारू है, तो वे फौरन जादू का खेल दिखाने लगते हैं। जनता देखती है, ताली पीटती है। मैं पूछता हूं- जादूगर साहब, आंखों पर पट्टी बांधे राजनैतिक स्कूटर पर किधर जा रहे हो? किस दिशा को जा रहे हो- समाजवाद? खुशहाली? गरीबी हटाओ? कौन सा गन्तव्य है? वे कहते हैं- गन्तव्य से क्या मतलब? जनता आंखों पर पट्टी बांधे जादूगर का खेल देखना चाहती है। हम दिखा रहे हैं। जनता को और क्या चाहिए?

जनता को सचमुच कुछ नहीं चाहिए। उसे जादू के खेल चाहिए। मुझे लगता है, ये दो छोटे-छोटे जादूगर रोज खेल दिखा रहे हैं, इन्होंने प्रेरणा इस देश के राजनेताओं से ग्रहण की होगी। जो छब्बीस सालों से जनता को जादू के खेल दिखाकर खुश रखे हैं, उन्हें तीन-चार घंटे खुश रखना क्या कठिन है। इसलिए अखबार में रोज फोटो देखता हूं, किसी शहर में नये विकसित किसी जादूगर की।

सोचता हूं, जिस देश में एकदम से इतने जादूगर पैदा हो जाएं, उस जनता की अंदरूनी हालत क्या है? वह क्यों जादू से इतनी प्रभावित है? वह क्यों चमत्कार पर इतनी मुग्ध है? वह जो राशन की दुकान पर लाइन लगाती है और राशन नहीं मिलता, वह लाइन छोड़कर जादू के खेल देखने क्यों खड़ी रहती है?

मुझे लगता है, छब्बीस सालों में देश की जनता की मानसिकता ऐसी बना दी गयी है कि जादू देखो और ताली पीटो। चमत्कार देखो और खुश रहो।

बाकी काम हम पर छोड़ो।

भारत-पाक युद्ध ऐसा ही एक जादू था। जरा बड़े स्केल का जादू था, पर था जादू ही। जनता अभी तक ताली पीट रही है।उधर राशन की दुकान पर लाइन बढ़ती जा रही है।देशभक्त मुझे माफ करें। पर मेरा अंदाज है, जल्दी ही एक शिमला शिखर-वार्ता और होगी। भुट्टो कहेंगे- पाकिस्तान में मेरी हालत खस्ता। अलग-अलग राज्य बनना चाह रहे हैं। गरीबी बढ़ रही है। लोग भूखे मर रहे हैं।हमारी प्रधानमंत्री कहेंगी- इधर भी गरीबी हट नहीं रही। कीमतें बढ़ती जा रही हैं। जनता में बड़ी बेचैनी है। बेकारी बढ़ती जा रही है।तब दोनों तय करेंगे- क्यों न पंद्रह दिनों का एक और जादू हो जाए। चार-पांच साल दोनों देशों की जनता इस जादू के असर में रहेगी।(देशभक्त माफ करें- मगर जरा सोंचें)जब मैं इन शहरों के इन छोटे जादूगरों के करतब देखता हूं तो कहता हूं- बच्चों, तुमने बड़े जादू नहीं देखे। छोटे देखे हैं तो छोटे जादू ही सीखे हो।

दूसरा कमाल इस देश में साधु है। अगर जादू से नहीं मानते और राशन की दुकान पर लाइन लगातार बढ़ रही है, तो लो, साधु लो।जैसे जादूगरों की बाढ़ आयी है, वैसे ही साधुओं की बाढ़ आयी है। इन दोनों में कोई संबंध जरूर है।साधु कहता है- शरीर मिथ्या है। आत्मा को जगाओ। उसे विश्वात्मा से मिलाओ। अपने को भूलो। अपने सच्चे स्वरूप को पहचानो। तुम सत्-चित्-आनन्द हो।आनंद ही ब्रह्म है। राशन ब्रह्म नहीं। जिसने ‘अन्नं ब्रह्म’ कहा था, वह झूठा था। नौसिखिया था। अंत में वह इस निर्णय पर पहुंचा कि अन्न नहीं ‘आनन्द’ ही ब्रह्म है।पर भरे पेट और खाली पेट का आनन्द क्या एक सा है? नहीं है तो ब्रह्म एक नहीं अनेक हुए। यह शास्त्रोक्त भी है- ‘एको ब्रह्म बहुस्याम।’ ब्रह्म एक है पर वह कई हो जाता है। एक ब्रह्म ठाठ से रहता है, दूसरा राशन की दुकान में लाइन से खड़ा रहता है, तीसरा रेलवे के पुल के नीचे सोता है।सब ब्रह्म ही ब्रह्म है।शक्कर में पानी डालकर जो उसे वजनदार बनाकर बेचता है, वह भी ब्रह्म है और जो उसे मजबूरी में खरीदता है, वह भी ब्रह्म है।ब्रह्म, ब्रह्म को धोखा दे रहा है।साधु का यही कर्म है कि मनुष्य को ब्रह्म की तरफ ले जाय और पैसे इकट्ठे करे; क्योंकि ‘ब्रह्म सत्यं जगन्मिथ्या।’

26 जनवरी आते आते मैं यही सोच रहा हूं कि ‘हटाओ गरीबी’ के नारे को, हटाओ महंगाई को, हटाओ बेकारी को, हटाओ भुखमरी को क्या हुआ?बस, दो तरह के लोग बहुतायत से पैदा करें- जादूगर और साधु।ये इस देश की जनता को कई शताब्दी तक प्रसन्न रखेंगे और ईश्वर के पास पहुचा देंगे।

भारत-भाग्य विधाता। हममें वह क्षमता दे कि हम तरह-तरह के जादूगर और साधु इस देश में लगातार बढ़ाते जायें।हमें इससे क्या मतलब कि ‘तर्क की धारा सूखे मरूस्थल की रेत में न छिपे’(रवींद्रनाथ) वह तो छिप गयी। इसलिए जन-गण-मन अधिनायक! बस हमें जादूगर और पेशेवर साधु चाहिए। तभी तुम्हारा यह सपना सच होगा कि हे परमपिता, उस स्वर्ग में मेरा यह देश जाग्रत हो।(जिसमें जादू्गर और साधु जनता को खुश रखें)।

मुझे इस बात का आश्चर्य है की परसाई जी का उपरोक्त व्यंग्य आज भी उतना ही सार्थक व सटीक है जितना 1972 में था।

खुश आमदीद - 2010

I prefer not to disclose my plans unless i am 110% sure of their execution in the days to follow or when i am not able to suppress the urge to stoke my own ego.Keeping something a complete secret for a long period of time is also an almost impossible task for me, arising out of my inclination for gossip.So i make a selected few privy to my 'those hidden from public scrutiny' plans.I dont run the risk of being ridiculed or mocked at by these people in case my plans don't come to fruition, because they never assign a high probability to the execution of my plans anyhow.

I stood vindicated yesterday when my plan to travel to the north of the country was jeopardised due to the cancellation of my flight to chandigarh,at the last minute, after it was delayed 3 times by 1 hour each.The plan was to travel to chandigarh where 2-3 other friends of mine were to join me and then to target Dharmshala & McLoedGanj,in a cab from there,for the new year celebrations.Given my attitude of selective disclosure of information, i was saved from any embarrassment that would have hit me if i had publicly announced my plans.So after having faught with the Go-Air personnel, having confirmed the non existence of another flight to chandigarh with other airlines and having ogled at as many as 30 "fairies" at the airport i was back at my flat by 2:00 in the afternoon.

Disappointed by the above events i decided to 'make love' to the book that i had picked up at the airport "My Friend Sancho" by Amit Varma. A brilliant instance of story telling i must say.Surprisingy the sensibilities of the authour as far as the sense of humour is concerned , were remarkably similar to mine. The story even had a lizard which resembled the lizard i had talked about in one of the pieces on this blog sometime back.The book kept me engrossed till the very night when i switched to the "bye bye 2009" type programs on TV, after having finished the book. A program by the name of "9 ki nautanki" on NDTV (hindi) featured all the nautanki that ensued in 2009 and was hilarious.The Gustakhi Maaf team of NDTV to me represents the good quality humour on television.

I must say here with great conviction that INDIA TV is by far the most innovative and amazing channel to have blessed the indian audience. I have been watching this channel right from its very beginning and the kind of drama it creates out of 'almost nothing' is like magic. Be it a Surya-Grahan, Amavasya , Soorya ka uttarayan or Shani ka prakop on the astronomical front OR Aapki adalat on the 'satiating the ego of Rajat Sharma' front OR unending description of some expected event with the help of innumerous replays of bad quality video clips and cliched terms like "Barbadi", "Chamatkaar", "Hahakaar", "Chaunkiye Mat" , "Hoshiyaar" , "Sarvanaash" , "Mahavinaash" ,"Ulatfer" , "Sharmsaar", "Ghinaunaa" , on the masala entertainment front. Yesterday was no exception. When all other channels had indulged themselves in non-stop singing and dancing by some unknown celebrities, INDIA TV was determined not to let down its viewership i.e people like me. It started airing a program on the influence of Shukra grah on human beings. Why was only Shukra chosen out of the other planets of our solar system is a question to which i attach no value whatsoever. The value lies with the drama that ensued. 'Shukra' prithvi jitna hi bada hai! Isey Prithvi ki behen bhi kaha jaata hai! Isliye iska prabhaav bhi ham par sabsey zyada hota hai! Arey bhai..when people are not even able to influence their bosses at work place who have such "haanikaarak prabhaav" on their lives, how will they counter the similar prabhaav of Shukra grah.I had initially thought that this channel shall not be able to cut much ice with indian public when i had seen the first few programs on this channel but i am today astonished at the fact that not only this channel has survived but is also flourishing. This is in a way indicative of the indian apetite for drama and INDIA TV for one has struck the right cord. Hail! INDIA TV.

All in all the last day of 2009 proved out to be a very interesting one.I look forward to many more such interesting days in the year that has begun today.
